Description
When his father goes back east to gather the remaining members of the family, Matt is left alone to defend his family's property. However, Matt's life is changed forever when he unsuccessfully attempts to steal honey from a beehive. Stung several times and unconscious, Matt is luckily rescued by a Native American and his grandson. In exchange for their kindness, Matt agrees to teach the grandson to read, and the two youngsters soon form a friendship.
