Description
The seven-headed serpent is the symbol of the Tonle Sap the river/lake that offered livelihood for the Khmers for generations. It is celebrated with a fluvial parade in the Water Festival, a yearly event in Phnom Penh, a charming city where, unfortunately, the memories of the brutal occupation by the Khmer Rouge cannot be avoided.
