Description
The story takes place at Palús Village, the largest village located at the confluence of the Palouse and Snake Rivers, and tells of a young boy's visits to his grandfather at his place on the river and of what he learned about his culture during those visits. At the end of the book, the boy has grown to be a father himself and carries on the tradition of transferring cultural information to his own children.
