Agthe Alken Ludemann, widowed in 1856 in Firrel, Hanover, Germany, came to the United States in 1857 with all but one of her children and located near Eureka, Illinois. Later, she moved with a daughter to Lincoln, Nebraska, where Agthe died in 1888 or 1889 at the age of 92.
