Overpowered by his heroin addiction, 24-year-old Alexander Lawson is forced to resign in disgrace from Northern Ireland's corrupt drug squad. When he discovers that his high school girlfriend has been murdered in Denver, Colorado, the still-addicted Lawson heads to the U.S. to investigate. However, as the murder toll rises, Lawson finds himself being pursued not only by the British and Colorado authorities, but also by the relentless murderer.
